Before the event: Liaison with OC regarding supplying of all necessities(radios or communication system, on-site accommodation, caravan for stable area, etc.) Establish a budget, including practical and financial necessities. Visit to site, meet with builders to discuss the layout Liaison with OC in order to obtain a copy of the event schedule and up-to-date copies(incl. amendments) of the General Regulations, Rules and Memorandum of the relevant discipline, as well as the Manual for Stewards. Selection, training and organisation of a team of stewards 2. During the event: Organisation of stable management in cooperation with the stable manager - allocation of boxes, security, controls, etc. Reception of horses and vans on arrival, assigning of stewards for stables and veterinary examination. Organisation of veterinary and horse inspections together with the Veterinary Delegate/commission Preparation and organisation of the schooling areas timetables. Surveillance of the schooling areas Communication with, and assistance for treating veterinarian, farrier, fire brigade, sanitary organisation, police. Cooperation through continuous daily communications and briefing sessions, with other FEI officials - Technical Delegate, Ground Jury, Course Designer, Appeal Committee, etc. Assistance for Medication Control Programme(MCP). 3. After the event Drawing up of a final report with recommendations for stewarding improvements.
