The First China Endurance Eventing around the Guangting Reservoir was held successfully on Apirl 12, 2008. This event was operated according to the FEI endurance rule.

After rising the flag, Mr. Li nianxi, the Vice General Secretary of the CEA, gave the opening address. The Chief Steward, Mr. Man Zhenwei, represented stewards , judges and vets swore to be justly. Mr. Liu Zhendong, represented endurance athletes made a statement.

Before the competition, there is a show of hounds and eagles, and six eagles were set free to the nature. Horse riding with hounds and eagles, full of joy! The target of this event is to enhance people's awareness of protecting our enviorment and also to keep health.

    (This endurance competition’s limit speed is 200 meters/min. The whole distance is 60 kilometers, limit time is 5 hours, and in the end 16 horses qualified as one star horses. )
