Horse importing procedure

1. Choosing the horses at the export country.
2. Formalities of examination and approval of quarantine inspection at the State Bureau of inmporting Animal and Plant Quarantine of import country.
3. Application for horses import license at the State Bureau of inmporting Animal and Plant Quarantine of import country.
4. Signing of the trade contracts or agreements.
5. Export horses should be placed in quarantine inspection court before exit, designated by the port animal and plant quarantine office.The isolation day varies from different quarantine law of exit country, normally is 30 days.
6. International transportation to import country.
7.  Import horses should be quarantined in isolation for 45 days in an isolated animal quarantine court set up by the State Bureau of Animal and Plant Quarantine.
8. Horses which pass quarantine inspection ¬the port animal and plant quarantine office shall affix its stamp on the Customs declaration form or issue a 'Quarantine Clearance Notice'.

Fee

1.Formalities of customs clearance,Quarantine,signing of the trade contracts,etc.RMB 8000 yuan/horse
2.Hiring the quarantine inspection court.RMB 20,000-80,000 yuan each time,according to the number of horses.
3.Others prepaid by agency should be charged from importer.
